  Dwale Dunnmire SCL 10.5A died today while working undercover on a white BPN. He was gunned down by a group of Johanna's gang members. The rest of his squad responded by killing the members only to be attacked by someone in very large unidentified power armor. The area exploded in a ball of flame as the power armor let explosives loose. T : I don't have one.

T : My first name has been unrecorded and unimportant since I began my
current job.

MT: Which is...?
T : Valet to Doctor Ernest Strand, Professor Emeritus of Biomechanopropagation at the Karma Research Institute, and head of
development at Nuke Tendon.

MT: Twenty-one words, and the first two were 'valet to'. Is yours an important job?
T : Dr. Strand relies on my punctuality, my attention to detail and my ability to use initiative. If I left, he'd...

MT: ...have to replace you?
T : ...be in trouble! 

MT: Does it pay well?
T : Befittingly. I am expected to be able to take care of the Doctor's trivial expenses, and claim back from his accountant, without bothering him.

MT: What's a trivial expense?
T : Anything up to 10,000c.

MT: Credits. So you're an operative?
T : SCL 6.0 Kick Murder. Surprised?

MT: A little. Are you chipped?
T : Are you still running guns to Darknight?

MT: Dr. Strand is obviously a very important man.  Do you ever see or hear
things which would normally be out of bounds for someone of your rank?
T : Yes.

MT: Yes?
T : Yes.  (pause)  I'm not at liberty to disclose anything I may have been witness
to. Dr. Strand regularly entertains some very important people at his apartments, and I can say that I have met, and taken the coats of, Intruder, Malice and Senti.

MT: What's Strand like as an employer?
T : The Doctor is always busy. He really does devote all his time to his
research now he no longer has the administrative workload of heading
up Phantom Pregnancy. I get acknowledgment when I have worked well,
he'll tell me when we're going to be traveling, and otherwise we
hardly communicate. Which is perfect. It means I'm doing my job correctly. If he had to keep telling me what to do, it would mean I wasn't using enough initiative.

MT: How are your Kick Murder skills useful to your job?
T : By being there. I really am the last line of defense. If a would-be attacker gets past the Doctor's personal bodyguard, past whatever Karma security or Shivers may be present, then it's up to me to sell
my life dearly while he makes an escape. With any luck, my mere presence would be quite a deterrent.

MT: No offense, but how much of a deterrent can one SCL 6 operative be?
T : Well. The Doctor sometimes brings his work home with him.

MT: Thank you for your time.
T : My pleasure.
